ATTENTION ALL OWNERS 2 October 2020

As most of you are aware the ravine collapsed during the gota fria in the September of 2019. Since then the president, the administrators and the insurance company have been trying to obtain some kind of compensation from the Consortia (the Government). To date we have had no joy. The insurance company state that the collapse was “an act of God” and therefor the cost of repair is to be borne by the Consortia.

We have had a reply from the consortia stating that we have no claim as the wall was not correctly built in the first instance. I am not sure who is to blame for signing off the repair of the first collapse (approximately 14 years ago) but nevertheless they are refusing to offer any financial help. This is apparently a normal type of reply from the Consortia because they do not want to spend money.

However, the insurance company sent a company to see the president,
And they are Piqueras Ingenier y Arquitectura Pericial, who are Consulting Engineers. They have been hired by us to “fight” our case (they have lawyers) against the decision of the Consortia. If they lose, they do not get paid a cent. However, if they win the case for us they get 5% of the funds awarded to us by the Consortia to get the ravine repaired. The president entered into a contract with them and we are waiting for a reply acknowledging this from the Consortia.

Should the outcome be ruled against us we will then begin proceedings with our insurance company.

We will update with any future developments as soon as we are given any further information.

On June 20, 2020, it was published in the OFFICIAL JOURNAL OF THE VALENCIAN GENERALITAT (Number 8841), the CONSELL AGREEMENT of June 19,

The new Intercom system is to commence being installed on the 4 March 2019.

To finalise the completion of this, the electricians need access to the apartments at some stage to install the receiver systems in your apartments. With regard to this you have two options:

One is you may send your keys to the president and he will make sure that Dee (His wife) will be with the electrician at all times whilst they are in your apartment doing the work so that it is completed before you come out again. (Address being:

Secondly, you must advise, TWO WEEKS BEFORE YOU ARRIVE, the president BY EMAIL at this address (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) when you are coming to Costa Paraiso (this time period is very important)so we are able to arrange for someone to come and complete the work whilst you are here on holiday, this is of course if they have free time to do so, but we will do our best to ensure that they come at some stage whilst you are here, but this of course really cannot be guaranteed I am sorry to say, but they have said they will do their best to accommodate us with this work at a time convenient to you.
